What I've been doing:
Lived in Globe until 1986 working for the County, State
and Cities Services. Decided it was time to hit the rode and moved to Phoenix.
While working for a finance company, I met my husband. In 1993 I started working
for the Thunderbirds, the organization which produces the Phoenix Open. After 10
years I decided to downsize my work hours and am working for Cachet Homes. I've
been there for 2 years. After you have children, isn't it all about them? Both
my children have played basketball since they were 5... and I've spent a great
deal of time in a gym sitting on my big and getting bigger butt! And I LOVE IT!!
My oldest son is playing basketball at Horizon High School. At 6'5" and
still growing, he makes a great center. He also does track and field throwing
the discuss and shot-put as well as plays club basketball during the Spring.
Thank goodness he has his drivers license! My younger son is playing basketball
at the middle school and on a league. He is already my height, which is pretty
darn tall for a 13 year-old. I am very proud of both of them.
Memories of Globe-Miami:
I have probably hung out with more Miami High grads in my
lifetime than Globe grads... Juan Aceves and his lovely wife Marie, John and
Sherry Stewart, Jeff Belarde, Dixie Cooper, Desi Walker, Don Glidewell, Harley
Cranswick, Joe Garcia, Diane Holyoak, Roger Martin, Jim and Teri Stiles! I have
to apologize now for all the eggs I threw in your school parking lot during
Globe-Miami week. oops! It was a great time! Loved looking over your
