What I have been doing since 1975:

After Melynda and I were married in 1978, we stayed in Miami where I worked for Occidental Minerals for one year. In 1979 I started working for Magma Copper Company and worked there until they shutdown in 1982. During that time we decided to make a move to the valley. We lived in Apache Junction for six years before moving to Northeast Mesa, which has been our home for the last 15 years. I began working for Salt River Project in 1982 in the Generation Engineering department that provides the engineering and design to the SRP power generation sites.

The years have passed quickly (I don’t even remember my 30’s) and now I know that I am getting older because they’ve started playing the songs that I remember in High School on the oldies station. And I find it hard to watch "That 70’s Show" because I know I have seen that guy wearing my "Tie-dye’ pants and platform shoes

Life has been good for Melynda and I, we have been blessed with three wonderful children and they have made us very proud. It seems we spend most of our time in our vehicle shuttling kids from field to field, or program to program, but wouldn’t have it any other way.

My memories of M.H.S.:

When I think of the memories I have of high school, I think of the summer I started driving and finally getting to cruise Globe. I remember driving to school one winter in my Camero with 6 of us in the car (only room for five and I had to give my Mom a ride to work too), and because I had no heater the windows would get all fogged up, so we had to have a designated wiper, which was usually my Mom, she got to sit shotgun.

I remember the cheerleaders weaving the hoop so tight that the football team couldn’t break through it (my neck still hurts). I remember when the band would play the fight song and how it really got our adrenaline going.

I think about Coach Vargas and Coach Chisum, who were such a positive influence in my life. But most of all I think about the friendships that were made and the great times we had.
