What have you been doing:
I graduated from Globe in 1974.
During my high school days I got to know Larry Hawkins and Rosemary Castaneda
(MHS '75). I knew Larry from the airport and flying and Rosemary was my
prom date at the Miami prom in 1974. I spent a year at NAU then transferred
down to ASU for a year then went to work at my family's business in Globe,
Mercer Construction. Worked a year with the company doing work at Pinto
Valley. Went back to NAU in 1978 and finished my degree then back to work for the
company in Globe. I kept flying small airplanes on and off during this
time. Became a flight instructor and taught out at
Cutter. In 1989 I got an aircraft mechanics certificate.
Hired on at America West as a line mechanic in 1990, I was still flying on the side
in Phoenix. I became a maintenance instructor which lead to a job teaching
aircraft systems to flight crews at America West which lead to a job as a pilot
instructor in the simulators. Last May I became a Boeing 737 flight
officer at America West. I've been married for almost 20 years, my wife
Kathy works for Wells Fargo in Scottsdale.
